In June of 2009 I had the privilege of visiting the Blue Heron Farm, in Dekalb, New York. The Farm is owned by two extraordinary gentlemen who have built a life together over the past 25 years. They have two beautiful children and many animals that reside on the property. They graciously shared their home and lives with me.
Each year around Labor Day, for the past 30 years, the Blue Heron Farm has been host to a gathering of Radical Faeries. I decided to visit the farm outside of this gathering so that I might get a chance to associate with the owners on a more personal level. These images are the product of that visit. It is a very spiritual place, a fact that becomes obvious to the cognizant individual simply by wandering throughout the various landscapes and ecosystems, which range from grassy planes to ancient rocky mountains, swamps and acre after acre of diverse forest lands.
Special thanks to Bryan, Gary, Isaac, Julia and Shiva.
